Traffic restrictions (2)

The administration in Papum Pare district has announced regulated traffic movement on the Kimin–Potin road due to ongoing road improvement work under Project Arunank. According to an advisory issued by the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), vehicular movement on this stretch will be controlled for a fixed period each day to ensure safety and allow the work to progress without delays. Officials said the restrictions are necessary, especially with the limited working window available before the monsoon season.

As per the schedule, vehicles will be allowed to pass during three time slots—between 7 am and 8:30 am, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm, and from 5 pm to 5 am the next day. Outside these hours, movement will remain restricted to support uninterrupted construction work. However, emergency services will not be affected. Vehicles such as ambulances, magistrates on duty, and those carrying VIP or VVIP officials will be allowed to move at all times. Ocean Gao has requested the public to follow the new timings and cooperate with the administration. He said the temporary inconvenience is necessary for improving road conditions and ensuring long-term benefits for commuters.

For any urgent issues or emergencies related to the road work, the administration has shared contact details of concerned officials. Kuldeep Singh, Assistant Engineer (Civil), and Bijay Kumar, Junior Engineer (Civil), can be contacted for assistance.
