Arunachal Pradesh Governor KT Parnaik has lauded the transformative role of Sainik Schools in nation-building, emphasizing their contribution to nurturing disciplined, patriotic, and service-oriented youth. Speaking at the annual alumni meet of Sainik School Rewa at the Manekshaw Centre, Governor Parnaik—himself an alumnus of the institution—highlighted how the schools’ focus on character, leadership, and academic excellence shapes responsible citizens dedicated to the country’s progress.
The Governor noted that Sainik Schools have consistently produced top-tier military officers, administrators, and professionals who actively drive India’s growth and security. Highlighting their impact, the prestigious gathering was attended by several distinguished alumni, including Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, and Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi.
Reflecting on the courage displayed by India’s armed forces in critical missions like Operation Sindoor, Governor Parnaik stated that such professionalism embodies the spirit of dedication cultivated by these academies. He concluded that as India advances toward the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’, Sainik Schools will remain vital in building disciplined leadership and safeguarding the nation’s future. Established in 1962, Sainik School Rewa continues to hold a historic place in India’s military and educational legacy.
