Domestic smartphone maker Lava International has launched two budget-focused devices in India: the Lava Virat V1 5G and the 4G-enabled Lava Virat V1. Designed for online buyers, both handsets feature 6.75-inch HD+ displays, an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating, and Lava’s signature ad-free, bloatware-free software experience. The higher-end Lava Virat V1 5G is powered by a Unisoc T8200 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM (plus 4GB virtual RAM), a 120Hz refresh rate display, Android 16, and a robust 6,000mAh battery. Meanwhile, the entry-level Lava Virat V1 runs on a Unisoc SC9863A processor with a 90Hz panel, Android 15 Go edition, and a 5,000mAh battery. Both phones share an AI-backed dual rear camera system anchored by a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Customers also benefit from Lava’s door-step ‘Free Service@Home’ after-sales support program. The Lava Virat V1 5G is priced at ₹12,999 (with a special day-one launch price of ₹11,999), while the standard Virat V1 retails at ₹9,999 (discounted to ₹8,999 on day one). Available in multiple color choices including Sonar Gold, Arya Blue, Himalayan Silver, and Nilgiri Blue, sales for both devices are scheduled to open on July 31 via Flipkart and the official Lava e-store.
