Rwanda’s batter Hamza Khan has achieved a unique feat in T20 cricket. In a match during the Africa sub-regional qualifiers for the next T20 World Cup, he played an innings of 164 runs against Ivory Coast. With this, Hamza set a record by playing the second-highest individual innings in international T20 cricket. Yesterday, during his 164-run innings off 65 balls, Hamza smashed 9 boundaries and 15 sixes. The record for scoring the highest runs in a single innings in international T20 cricket is held by Aaron Finch. Finch played an innings of 172 runs against Zimbabwe in 2018. Rwanda’s opener Hamza surpassed Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai yesterday. Zazai had played an undefeated innings of 162 runs against Ireland in 2019.
